Nurse-led Model of Viral Hepatitis Care Forum Committee Responsibilities, Powers and Procedures
- The Committee members will provide individual and collective advice to ASHM on the abstract submissions, scholarship applications and the forum program
- The Committee will meet regularly (approximately 4 times) in the lead up to the 15th August 2020
- Frequency and timing of meetings will be confirmed at the initial committee meeting.
- Meetings will occur via teleconference using Skype for Business
- Outside of meetings, the Committee will communicate via email as needed
- Proceedings of the Committee remain confidential unless otherwise agreed
- The chair of the meetings will be decided upon at the first meeting
- The ASHM Project Officer will act as secretariat to the Committee and will:
- Develop and disseminate a meeting schedule
- In consultation with Committee members, determine topics and agendas for meetings
- Issue meeting invitations with instructions on how to join
- Manage the online communication and dissemination of relevant information
- Record minutes from all meetings and distribute to members
- Teleconference and other meeting costs are met by ASHM
- Committee members are asked to:
- Attend all Committee meetings or where attendance is not possible, submit an apology
- Participate actively and work cooperatively with other Committee members and ASHM staff
- Prepare for all Committee meetings by reading and considering the agenda items, papers circulated and other relevant documents
- Participation in the Committee is on a voluntary basis. No sitting fees will be provided.
- Promote the forum and the Australasian Viral Hepatitis Conference through member communications and website
AHA Expectations of committee member
- Attend all meetings
- Have strong communication and networking skills to ensure AHA and Hepatology Nurses/members are well presented and advocated for throughout the forum.
- Ensure AHA are promoted at the conference/forum (AHA booth at the forum).
- Report back monthly to AHA board via written report (template provided).
